Much of the province`s specially constructed rental housing has taken time and is required through routine maintenance. As a result, repairs are the second most common problem faced by BC tenants, as only evacuation is carried out. In accordance with Section 32 (1) of the Residential Rent Act (RTA), rental properties must comply with the health, safety and housing standards prescribed by law. (4) Instead of imposing a sanction under paragraph 1, the Director may, subject to the provisions, enter into an agreement with the person who would otherwise be responsible for the sentence. Be sure to include all standard conditions in the tenancy agreement using these forms: leases must comply with the Residential Leases Act (external link) and the Housing Act (External Link).
