In two days, the participants discussed the clauses of the Bergen Agreement, the protocol of the meeting as well as the draft revision of the above-mentioned agreement, which was prepared at the end of the meeting. The agreement signed in Bergen in 2009 includes the procedures for representing the Europe region on the committees of the UNION`s Political, Finance and Statutory Audit Committee. HSE University and the University of Bergen have been partners in educational initiatives for eight years. The partnership began when the HSE Faculty of Law signed an agreement with the Norwegian University. Today, the St. Petersburg HSE campus has established links with the University of Bergen, which include a student exchange program (which allowed 18 HSE students to study in Bergen and 12 mountain students to join the HSE) and teacher visits. The new agreement will apply to all SHE services. The new agreement offers more opportunities for student exchange programmes, the exchange of teaching and management methods, joint educational programmes, joint research and the organisation of research conferences and cultural events. All UiB master`s students are invited to provide their master`s thesis to BORA.
The university library does not receive a printed copy of the thesis, so BORA is the only place where the thesis could be accessible to others. From 23 to 24 January 2020, a meeting of the Working Group on the Revision of the Bergen Agreement was held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, to discuss the issues requested under the Agreement.
